Short version: play fairly, be decent to your opponent, and understand that this is a free site run by one person.
What this is
checkers3d is a free site for playing draughts against other people or against a program. There is nothing to buy and no account is required to play.
Playing fairly
Against another person, the game is between the two of you. Do not use a draughts engine, a solver or another person to choose your moves in a rated game. Do not run several accounts to inflate a rating, and do not deliberately lose games to lower one. Do not stall a game you have lost in order to run the clock out on someone's patience.
An account that does these things can be removed from the leaderboards or closed. The machine opponent is there precisely so that playing an engine is available and honest.
Chat
Chat exists so two players can say "good game". Do not use it to abuse, threaten or harass your opponent, to advertise, or to post links. Messages last only as long as the game and are not stored afterwards, which also means we cannot retrieve them for you later.
Your account
You are responsible for the mailbox you sign in with. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, because the code we send is the only credential. A name you choose must not impersonate someone else or be offensive; we may change one that is.
Ratings and leaderboards
Ratings are computed by the server from games it refereed. Only games between two signed-in players count. We may recompute, correct or reset a rating when a bug or cheating has distorted it, and we will say so when we do.
What we promise, and what we do not
The site is offered as it is. It is run on one server by one person: it can be down, a game can be lost to a deploy, and a feature can change. Nothing here is a guaranteed service, and we are not liable for anything beyond the use of the site itself. If the site is going to stop for good, we will say so on this page before it does.
What we do commit to: the server, not your browser, decides every move, every clock and every result, so a game cannot be won by tampering with the client.
Advertising
There is no advertising today. If it is ever added, it will only appear after a game has finished, never during play, and this page will say so before it starts.

The rules of the game
Both rule sets offered here follow their published tournament rules: capture is compulsory in each. Which set is in force is shown on the screen for every game, and it never changes during one.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Brazil, where the site is run from. Nothing here removes a right your own country's consumer law gives you.
