Terms of use
Updated 31 October 2026.
Play fairly, be decent to your opponent, and understand that this is a free site run by one person.
What this is
checkers3d is a free site for playing draughts against other people or a program. There is nothing to buy and no account is required to play.
Playing fairly
Against another person, the game is between the two of you. Do not use an engine, a solver or another person to choose your moves in a rated game. Do not use several accounts to inflate a rating, deliberately lose to lower one, or stall to wear out an opponent. An account that does these things can be removed from the leaderboards or closed. The machine opponent makes playing an engine available and honest.
Chat
Chat is for talking respectfully with your opponent. Do not abuse, threaten, harass, advertise or post links. Chat is kept for 30 days, longer while an open report holds it. Guests and accounts that may be under 16 use preset phrases. Free chat requires both players to be certainly 16 or older and to allow it. Report harmful conduct; block or mute someone when needed.
Your account
Accounts are for people certainly aged 13 or older. We ask for your birth year, never your full birth date; eligibility begins on the first 1 January when that age is certain. Protect your password, mailbox, provider account and recovery codes. An e-mail sign-in code can give access to your account, with a second factor when enabled. Do not choose an offensive name or impersonate someone; such a name may be changed.
Ratings
The server computes ratings from the rated games it referees between accounts. A bug or cheating may require a rating to be recomputed, corrected or reset; changes will be explained.
Availability
The site is offered as it is, without a guaranteed service. It can be unavailable, a game can be lost during maintenance, and features can change. If the site is to stop permanently, this page will say so beforehand. The server decides the legal moves, clocks and results.
Advertising
Google AdSense shows ads only on the pages of games that have finished. There are none during play, on account, settings or sign-in pages, or on these pages. Every ad is requested as non-personalised, so none is chosen from a profile of you, and an account that may belong to someone under 16 is never targeted.
Closing your account
Settings let you export your data, end sessions and delete your account after proving it is yours. If you have no password, confirmed e-mail or enabled second factor, deletion in settings is unavailable: contact us. Games remain with your seat anonymised. The privacy notice explains the details.
The rules of the game
The offered rule sets follow their published tournament rules. The rule set in force is shown for each game and never changes during it.
Law
As in the existing terms, these terms are governed by Brazilian law. Nothing here removes a right your own country’s consumer law gives you.
