About checkers3d

checkers3d is a free place to play draughts by the rules you grew up with. One person runs it, and that person is me. Here is what the site is, how it works and how it stays free.

You can play American, Brazilian, International or Russian draughts against another person, against the computer, or with a friend on the same screen. There are also puzzles, lessons, and guides to the rules and to strategy. It is all free: there is nothing to buy, and you do not need an account to play.

I build and run checkers3d on my own, so when something breaks or a rule looks wrong, I am the one who looks into it. The eleven computer opponents are not other people and they are not accounts: they are invented characters played by the engine, each with its own style. The site’s terms are governed by Brazilian law.

Every game, puzzle and lesson here runs on one rules engine, so a move that is legal in a lesson is legal in a game. In a game against another person, the server decides the legal moves, the clocks and the result. Your browser shows what the server says, so neither player’s browser can decide a game.

Ads appear only on the reading pages under Learn: the how-to-play guides, the strategy articles and the reference pages. There are none during play, on game, lesson or puzzle screens, or on account, settings and sign-in pages. Every ad is requested as non-personalised, so none is chosen from a profile of you.

For questions about these pages, your data or an account you cannot delete in settings, write to aleinfoit@gmail.com.
